Looking back at the "Do You Speak Gin?" Festival in Liège: An Unforgettable Experience
We had the pleasure of participating in the "Do You Speak Gin?" Festival which took place on June 29 & 30, 2024 in Liège. Organized in the majestic setting of the Liège Opera, this event brought together more than twenty local gin producers to celebrate this much-loved spirit drink.
The choice of venue was simply perfect and provided a unique and memorable atmosphere for visitors. Each producer stand was carefully set up, allowing festival-goers to discover and taste an impressive variety of gins and cocktails. The interaction with the passionate producers enriched the experience, offering fascinating anecdotes and details on the artisanal manufacturing processes.
For an entry fee of 22 euros, each participant received a reusable eco-cup and a map of the stands. The tastings included pure gins for 1 euro and refined cocktails for 10 euros. This allowed everyone to savor unique creations and leave with their favorite bottles purchased directly from the exhibitors. The varied flavors, ranging from floral notes to spicy aromas, satisfied all palates.
The organisers did a remarkable job of ensuring the event ran smoothly. Their passion for gin and attention to detail was reflected in every aspect of the festival. Safety measures and clear information on responsible drinking were put in place, ensuring an enjoyable and safe experience for all.
The "Do You Speak Gin?" Festival was a real success and a memorable celebration of Belgian gin. If you are a gin lover or simply curious to discover, this event is not to be missed in its future editions. We look forward to seeing how this festival evolves and which new producers will join this unmissable gin celebration.
